How much does this cost?

I’m not asked that in Cancun but often in the US and of course especially by my wonderful hard working, snow shoveling wife.

Airfare was $337 Delta/aeromexico non-stop from Boston Logan, Jan 7 at 8:30 am in at 1, Jan 20 1:30 in at 5:30
airbnb small apartment with bath $475
Bike rental $390

So, those are the big ones, about $1200

How to look at a daily run rate? I eat fruit for breakfast at home, lunch is $30 and dinner is $50, bar is $25

That is an overestimate. Jump up more to $125 per day. I’ll adjust this once I am back with all the credit card entries and the cash withdrawals. I want to be sure the actual comes in under this back of the envelope work. Lets say $125 for 14 days is $1750

The actual came in at 1708. pretty much right on!!

So total is $3000. The one saving grace is that while I am in Cancun, I am not buying gas, food and going out in NH. I spend at least $400 a week so that cuts this expense to $2200 if your question is how much more than every day does the trip cost.
