Brazil 2024: Rio day 2

Here is a link to the hotel we stayed, in Miramar on Copacabana.

It was wonderful. Right across the street from the beach. Perfect for sudoku on my ipad in the lobby.

Funny that I always have breakfast.

This time instead of “everything” in the omlette, I am able to say ham cheese spinach. NOT in Portugues.

That is the way you can tell where you are along the beach! The numbers are going up as you go North. But they are pretty far apart.

We are on our way up Sugarloaf Mountain bu cable car. There is a stop 1/2 way and this is from there.

We are down, looking back up, and ready to take a taxi to the Portuguese Library.

Then onto lunch near by at the Cafe Colombo. Great old place with stain glass sky light

We are on the less desirable second floor. Great old elevator, not shown, that only takes 2? people!

A friend alone the road?

Heading down from our trolly ride and lunch in the Santa Teresa neighborhood. Very worthwhile!
