Claremont 2019

Under Construction

For the 4th year in a row, I rode my bike in Claremont California for 2 weeks in February. Somewhat like Cancun, I get up each morning, ride with a group and am done before lunch. The biggest difference in Claremont is that I live at my daughter and son-in-law’s house instead of in an airbnb. I still eat out every lunch and most dinners but have someone to talk to as I leave in the morning and after dinner.

This year, as in the past, I rode with 3 different groups. Claremont Senior Bike Group (CSBG) is the one I am with most mornings. They ride at 8am every day except Friday and Sunday. I rode 2 mornings with Trish Mayo who leads a group called Psycho-list. And one ride with Claremont Cycling Club (CCC). I also road 2 days mainly on my own. I got in 13 rides! I did about 150 miles a week. BUT, I still came home over weight! I do eat well as you will read, I ate lunch at Back Abby, a wonderful Belgium beer emporium, 11 days!
