I hope over the next winter to scan and post material from the newspapers that were published on Squirrel Island in the late 1800s. The ultimate goal is to have the actual text of the articles be available for searching. That means they would be read using OCR (Optial Character Recognition) and not just scanned, as a picture. For the moment, these two shots are just scanned. The first is the "Masthead" for July 19, 1893 Squirrel Island Boey, Vol 1 Number 3.
